In my personal opinion, I found myself really enjoying this film! I do know it was adapted, but I just want to focus on the film (coming from a non professional), as I feel like nobody is giving it the chance I think it really deserves. First off, one of my favourite parts is the little retro-style cartoon bits of kid cosmo we see, did get me feeling nostalgic. I also am seriously in love with the design of the robots- i think my top favourites are herm and penny, major props to the character designer's on that, I like how they genuinely feel nineties themed and not all polished and modern, it's a nice refreshing change in my opinion since a lot of sci fi robot films have very polished looking robots, so this was a nice pallete cleanser.

The cgi was done very well in my opinion, the robots felt integrated into the world well and felt like the human chars were actually interacting with them. I did find the plot a little predictable sometimes, sometimes the characters felt a bit bland but (Spoiler) The fact the michelle was able to let her brother go was...I don't know how to describe it, but it made sense. Imagine having your brain turned into whats basically a living VR server, and your body cannot survive even if you were released- that's just horrific, I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone, and I was honestly expecting they would save chris and all would be fine and merry, so this genuinely succeeded my expectations. I do have my gripes after all, but this was a solid watch and I think it deserves a chance.

The Amy haters and very forced hate are rlly coming out for some reason but they can't even pretend to write a legit reason as for why you shouldn't watch this movie. 😂 Well I'll tell you why you should, 1st of all I like Amy she's had GREAT movies like "I feel pretty" and "Snatched" but I thought the movie wasn't gonna be for me due to the whole pregnancy obsession, however I gave in and can say this is a movie for everyone. That's because if not for the friendship or pregnancy or romance you can watch for the comedy which this movie managed to nail even with the more modern humor and social aspects. I love that you can actually lol plenty of times which many "comedies" fail to make me do so. Great female cast as well, idk if anyone improvised but it sometimes felt like it. One more thing I RLLY appreciate is that it's a successfully made modern setting movie, finally not a period drama or alternative universe or set in the past movie, it's way more relatable when a story takes place during an era we can relate to. 

As for my complaints, I wish Lainy the mc was not more concerned with the pregnancy aspect but more with the fact that she could potentially lose her best friend, i wish they focused on the female friendship aspect and not the old narrative of "I want to be what everyone tells me and expects me to be" i mean even as an explanation it did not make sense. If Lainy had said that she faked it due to her feeling like she was losing a friend bcs of her new interests, activities and priorities and that she wanted to simply gain a new friend (Megan) and she felt like that was the only way they were able to connect, that would make more sense and be more relatable. A lot of us have prob worried abt the possibility of losing our friend bcs they suddenly become a new person but the movie didn't focus that well on that aspect. The mc could have been a lil less cringey and crazy, they don't need to be extra all the time. Overall pretty satisfied with the cast's acting and the dialog, some great one liners, main couple was cute and matched each other's energy nothing crazy but good enough chemistry for a rom com. Glad to see that Amy is still acting despite her illness. ❤

Like your Grandmother's lasagna: crafted with love and a little cheesy

'Nonnas' is inspired by an actual Staten Island restaurant named Enoteca Maria which recruited local grandmothers to be the chefs. It's a love letter to the matriarchs who are the heart and soul of Italian-American communities and their love language is food.
Vince Vaughn plays Joe, a congenial 50-something bus mechanic with New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Joe is so sweet and good-natured that in another era he could have been portrayed by Jimmy Stewart.

Joe is dealing with the loss of his beloved mother Maria. With a sum of money he just inherited he yearns for a way to honor her and also to make a change in his life.
Joe's mission becomes clear during a shopping trip to Staten Island when he sees a closed-down restaurant for sale. What better way to honor his mom than by serving up those delicious and crafted-with-love Italian dishes that were a tent pole of his happy childhood?

There's one major problem: Joe has never owned or even worked in a restaurant and has zero experience in the hospitality industry.
He does have a novel concept: hire local grandmothers to work in the kitchen.
He recruits a friend of his mother, Roberta (Lorraine Bracco), who was sassing a worker at her senior center when Joe arrives. He also enlists the services of Antonella (Brenda Vaccaro) whom he encountered at a market; former nun Teresa (Talia Shire); and saucy beautician and cannoli master Gia (Susan Sarandon).

Things do not go smoothly. The Nonnas bicker. There's a kitchen fire. An unscrupulous inspector cites the premise with multiple violations. Perhaps most crippling, there's a boycott of the restaurant by locals who resent outsider Joe (he's from Brooklyn!) taking over a popular neighborhood spot.

'Nonnas' is very much an underdog story. Heck, Adrian from 'Rocky' is in the cast. That Joe is able to overcome numerous obstacles to open the restaurant is a minor miracle. The titular Nonnas are much bigger underdogs: they reclaim their vitality and purpose defying those in society who believe they have outlived their usefulness.

There's a very sweet subplot in which Joe randomly reconnects with the girl he inadvertently abandoned at the prom many years ago (Linda Cardellini).
Excellent in a supporting role is Joe Manganiello who plays Joe's lifelong buddy Bruno who is willing to risk everything to help his friend realize his dream.
Plot-wise the film is fresh yet feels very familiar with the large name-brand cast.

'Nonnas' is a heart-warming and yes, cheesy film about family, friendship, community and the importance of leading a purposeful life.
It's also one hell of a two-hour ad for Enoteca Maria. I had never heard of it before but I need to get out to Staten Island. Mangia!

"Back in Action": Forget the Critics Did the critics even watch this movie? My wife and I had a blast, laughing, gasping, and high-fiving our way through the film. "Back in Action" isn't trying to reinvent the spy genre or be a typical Bond or "Mission: Impossible" flick, nor is it a raucous comedy like "Bridesmaids." It’s in its own lane delivering a unique blend of action and humor with an underlying transatlantic flavor, a little reminiscent of "A Fish Called Wanda" with a more serious vibe and more understated humor. The chemistry between the leads is comfortable and endearing, and the subtle interplay between British and American sensibilities adds a layer of wit that some critics may have missed or not appreciated. Perhaps more exposure to British film and television would help them to be amused by the nuanced humor woven throughout the UK sequences. The cast is superb. Cameron Diaz, in her much anticipated return, shows she still has star power, while Jamie Foxx, even after his well-documented health challenges during filming (wishing him a continued speedy recovery!), delivers his signature charismatic performance.

From Ray Charles to Django, Foxx consistently shines, and his on-screen dynamic with Diaz just works. The supporting cast, including such legends as Glenn Close playing the stiff upper lip estranged British Mother to Diaz’s character, familiar character actors such as Kyle Chandler (Mayor of Kingston, The Wolf of Wall Street), Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou (playing the lovable awkward bumbling “wannabe” MI6 agent who is Glenn Close’s character’s partner), and the captivating Fola Evans-Akingbola (The Night Agent), all contribute memorable scenes. Even the smaller roles have personality too. The action sequences, set against familiar London landmarks, are well-executed without being overly bombastic. There are many chase sequences on land and on the Thames, and lots of hand to hand and gunfire too. They serve the story without resorting to the constant one-upping so many action films try to top today. "Back in Action" aims to deliver entertainment without constant explosions or convoluted plot twists. It opens with a “bang”, and slowly builds from there. This isn't a film striving for cinematic perfection. It's a film that knows exactly what it wants to be: a thoroughly enjoyable escape. And in that, it succeeds brilliantly. If you're looking for a well-paced and genuinely entertaining movie night, 'Back in Action' is your ticket.

A Fun, Family-Friendly Spy Adventure! Black in Action is a surprisingly refreshing take on the action genre! I really enjoyed watching it, not just because of the entertaining action scenes, but because it’s a movie that you can watch with the whole family. It's not your typical blood-and-gore action flick. Instead, it strikes a great balance between excitement and wholesomeness. What really stood out to me is the strong theme of family. The movie reminds us that being there for each other, even in the middle of chaos, is what truly matters. I found myself smiling at the idea of a whole family of spies working together. It’s unique, heartwarming, and honestly, very cool! Also, Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx’s humor and chemistry were spot-on, I had a lot of laughs throughout the movie! Their dynamic added a light and fun vibe that made the action even more enjoyable. I’m also curious about what’s next. I’d love to see a Part 2, especially to explore how the children grow into their roles as spies.

This movie left me excited and looking forward to more. If you’re looking for something fun, action-packed, but still clean and meaningful, this one’s worth watching!

If you’re looking for a film similar to a Panos Cosmatos film, and if you’re a fan of psychological horror, body horror and late 90s horror video games, *this* is a film for you. I really appreciated the surrealism this film wasn’t afraid to delve into, and while it isn’t a five-star horror film up next to the likes of Alien, it isn’t meant to be, and I think that’s part of what makes this a beautiful film. I see it as more of an artistic science fiction-horror film than a plot driven-film (although I loved the plot - it was simple and expertly delivered), and visually, this film is a masterpiece. It felt like an hour and a half-long short film, and I loved it. The sound design makes the film so engaging - it sort of felt like I was in an interactive experience, and it made it all the more beautiful and terrifying. Rita is a very intriguing protagonist and Eiza González did an amazing job along with Aaron Paul. I would love to see her in more films.

Absolutely awesome movie, the suspense, use of colors, music, and horror elements were all on point and honestly set a way higher bar for horror movies. Don't believe any of these low star reviews, I promise you this movie is worth the watch. There are vivid hallucinations with really intense scenes, and towards the end, it locks you into a crazy sequence of events that keeps you on your toes and just absolutely in awe as you start to find out what really happened. I was blown away

A movie I waited nearly 6 months for and.... it was pretty damn good! OK so the lead actress was probably not employed for her acting skill ( more because she looking smoking hot in a space suit) but apart from her silly facial expressions she did a pretty decent job, Aaron Paul did a good turn as her sole surviving teammate... the story confused me a lot until the end where everything was explained, we even got a little body morphing and parasite trading going on... some lovely visuals and great body horror shots, definitely worth your time if your a sci fi horror buff like me

A new entry into the seldom done right cosmic horror genre. I am very glad to have happened to notice this at the theater and see it before it left. Odd that I had seen zero advertisement for the movie until I had wanted to see what the movie was about myself after seeing the poster this week. The movie is very disjointed. On purpose. The sounds and soundtrack are very nerve wracking, reminded me somewhat of the sounds of Annihilation. There are many flashing sequences. The movie was very well done. Effects were great. The film kept you on edge of your seat as to what the heck was really going on, but is gradually doled out a piece at a time. Will definitely see it again, now that I know where it went. I am sure I would appreciate even more so. The apprehension that is so hard to achieve in cosmic horror films is definitely there, as are ultimately the blood and gore and some body horror as well. Enjoy!

Red Notice 2 has been a few years in the making and though not much has been confirmed, news has slowly trickled out since the original film's premiere. One of the most watched movies to ever come to Netflix, Red Notice is an action comedy starring the movie star trio of Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The film follows an FBI agent, John Hartley (Johnson), who must team up with a famed art thief, Nolan Booth (Reynolds), to stop an even more audacious thief, Sarah Black (Gadot), from stealing three rare bejeweled eggs.
The film premiered on Netflix on November 5, 2021, and was received poorly, with a 37% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the film was watched, in total, for over 453.9 million hours. It's a classic Hollywood blockbuster for the streaming era, with mega-stars, a massive budget of $200 million, and some clever stunts and twists to keep the audience engaged. Gadot, Reynolds, and Johnson are no strangers to blockbuster franchises, so a follow-up to Red Notice was planned even before the movie was released. Since 2021, nothing more has been confirmed, but a lot has been said about Red Notice 2.

Gal Gadot Says The Movie Is Still In Production
The latest news about Red Notice 2 comes from Gal Gadot in June 2023. During a fan event at TUDUM in 2023, the Israeli actress said that Red Notice 2 was still a go and that a script had even been finished (via Collider),
"We're all talking about it. I don't know if I can say anything! I already read the second script and it's… whoo ! We're all very excited about it!"
This is the most news that's been revealed about the sequel series in months, so it came as a welcome surprise to those hopeful the film remained in production.
Red Notice 2 Is Not Confirmed
There Has Been No Official News Since 2023
Despite Gadot's comments, Red Notice 2 has still not been confirmed by any official channels. It's been a long road since Red Notice 2 was first talked about. A few days after the Red Notice premiere, Johnson hinted that there was more to come in the Red Notice franchise. In October 2022, producers Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia gave an update about the second and third movies in the franchise (via ScreenRant),

"Well, we have a 'Red Notice 2' script and almost [Red Notice] 3. The plan is hopefully if Hiram and I have of our way that we would make those movies back to back. But it's going to be all about the scripts and how we feel and how Dwayne, Gal, and Ryan feel about them. But that franchise is a blast and obviously Netflix really wants it, and Rawson [Marshall Thurber, director, and screenwriter] is committed."
From the producer's comments, there does not seem to be an official timeline for the movie, which is not the best news for the film's prospects. Worse, in May 2024, reports began to surface that indicated Reynolds and Johnson had feuded on the set of the original Red Notice. While it's clear some of the crew behind Red Notice are all for a sequel, there are still quite a few major obstacles to overcome.

The Main Cast Should Be Expected To Return
Gal Gadot is the only one of the original Red Notice cast members to speak about a sequel in the last few years, so if Red Notice 2 does happen, she'll almost certainly return as Sarah Black/The Bishop. If Reynolds and Johnson can work through their differences, then they should certainly return as Booth and Hartley, respectively, to round out the cast. The other major character who should return for the second film, considering her role at the end of the first, is Ritu Arya as Inspector Urvashi Das.
